Hal W. Lanse, Ph.D. is a teacher trainer in New York City. He is a specialist in middle grade and young adult literacy and a past winner of the Frank W. Dilley Award, Walden University's annual prize for outstanding doctoral dissertation. Dr. Lanse trains teachers in current literacy research and shows them how to turn the research into daily classroom practice. He also teaches family literacy workshops and is the author of Read Well, Think Well, a book for parents who want to support literacy at home.
Dr. Hal is the single parent of a high-energy young adult, the dynamic Kenny. Kenny is a mixed martial artist, plumber and father of twins Ayden and Gabriel.
